We had a great visit yesterday with a busload of USDA FAS folks. Now back to business and getting packed up for our first fiber festival of the season. Fall is a really busy time for both fiber fests and alpaca shows. We start off this weekend with the Southern Adirondack Fiber Festival in Greenwich, NY.
Snowshoe Farm will be there with alpaca yarn and roving, knitting patterns, needles & hooks, felting batts and dyes. If I have time, I’ll throw in a few beautiful fleeces.
The forecast is a bit gray and damp, but that won’t interfere with a great time at the festival, so come on over! We hope to see a lot of our old fiber friends and make some new ones.
Next weekend, Oct 1 & 2 is the Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival in Tunbridge. Peak foliage, beautiful fairgrounds and fiber – can’t beat that!
