Fall fiber festival season has finally come to an end for Snowshoe Farm. That means I can unpack all our boxes of yarn, roving, knitting needles, patterns, dyes, etc and inventory what we have left on hand for our farm store. I know I have a batch of laceweight yarn and one of our alpaca/merino/tencel blend waiting to be skeined and dyed, so we ‘ll have plenty of yarn to offer through the winter. This week, I’ll reorder needles, hooks and dyes. We have some great new knitting patterns from Wooly Wonka Fibers. I’m looking forward to dyeing some yarn specifically to knit samples. There’s more fiber in the barn waiting to be sent off to the mill; I just have to decide exactly what kind of yarn I want the mill to spin. Decision, decisions….
My goal is to start updating Vermont Alpaca Yarn, our online farm store, in early December. I’ll keep you posted!
