After a week of family visitors (5 nieces and nephews!), we’re home alone again. It’s fun to have the kids here, but every day’s a work day on the farm and we get behind when we have company.
This week, my goal is to skirt fiber and get a few batches sent off to the mill. I need to have yarn in time for the fall fiber festivals and I’m way behind in skirting. I have about 100 fleeces to skirt, so this is quite a project! My first priority is to get a batch of seconds out to be blended with wool and nylon for sock yarn. Tomorrow…today’s project is to catch up on computer and paperwork that I let go last week.
