This is a busy time of year for Snowshoe Farm! October is when many people start knitting for the season, especially if they’re making holiday gifts. We have a series events on October weekends which started with the Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival. What a great weekend we had!
Next weekend, we will be at Burketoberfest at Burke Mountain on Sunday afternoon. Come on up and enjoy the spectacular fall foliage and check out the new lodge and some very talented local craftspeople.
Last, but not least, is the queen of fall fiber festivals, New York Sheep & Wool at Rhinebeck. This is a bucket list festival for ALL fiber enthusiasts. Snowshoe Farm is in Barn #26 at the top of the hill by the 4-H gate.
If you can’t make it to an event, our online shop will reopen after Rhinebeck. Like our festival offerings, we have yarn, roving and felting fiber from our herd of huacaya alpacas as well as knitting patterns, needles and hooks and Greener Shades dyes.
