Fall is fast approaching and that means it’s almost fiber festival time! We’ve received a few new shipments of our alpaca yarn back from the mill. Much of the white and light colored yarn will be dyed like the 100% alpaca fingering shown in the photo. We also have natural colored alpaca yarn ranging from white to very dark brown.
This year we have a new sock yarn that’s a blend of alpaca, wool and tencel (to replace the nylon). This yarn has a nicer handle and will be wonderful for a variety of projects in addition to socks.
Our first fiber festival, the Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival, is coming up on Sept 29 & 30. This festival takes place at the fairgrounds in Tunbridge, Vermont at the peak of fall foliage season. It’s a wonderful way to spend a day even if you’re not a fiber fanatic. Check out the festival website for more information.
