The first day of spring and it feels more like summer! This stretch of warm weather is so unusual for northern Vermont. We are generally sitting in a sea of snow and mud at this time of year. But most of the snow is gone, the roads are nowhere near as muddy as most years and the pastures are drying up quickly.
For once, we might not have mud-covered alpacas for the first show of the season!
Tomorrow I will start planting our vegetable garden. It’s great to be able to get a head start on lawn and garden work before Ron is tied up with shearing – which starts in mid-April.
