This is the view from my fiber studio. It’s not very exciting on this gray day, but it’s looking a lot like Fall and we love it. And the alpacas, who have quite a bit of fleece grown back by this time of year, love the cooler temps.
This is a busy room this time of year as we get ready for Fall fiber festivals. As usual, we have a nice selection of natural colored alpaca yarn as well as hand dyed yarns. We’re trying a new blend for socks using Tencel instead of nylon for durability. This yarn has a softer handle and better drape than our usual sock yarn and will work very well in all types of projects.We also have some new patterns from Wooly Wonka and WoolWizard.
This coming weekend we will be at the Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival in Tunbridge VT. Come and visit us in the animal barn!
