Our usual routine is to get the barns all cleaned out in the morning. It’s a 3 -4 hour job for one person. Today, after I fed and watered the alpacas, I decided to clear snow from one of the paddocks in the girls’ barn. It’s warm today (above freezing) and if I don’t move the snow before it gets cold again, it won’t be moving this winter! I fired up the snowblower and cleared paths through the paddocks on the west side of the barn. I put a couple buckets of hay in the paddock and all the girls are outside and getting some exercise. Now it’s noon and I still have to clean the barns. But with the girls outside, cleanup will go quickly.
